Because this is a set probability, casinos adjust the pay tables to produce the house edge. The payouts for all video poker machines are the same except for the payout on the flush, full house or royal flush.

If you bet five coins, all winning hands are paid out by a factor of five, except for the royal flush. This is a bonus amount designed as an incentive to play five coins. If a player plays less than maximum coins then they won’t win a Royal Flush and can’t win at video poker longer term.
Tip 3 – You need to play for a long time
A player, on the 9 / 6 machine, has odds of 1:40,000 of getting a Royal Flush, or equivalent to around 100 hours of play. You need to play any Video poker machine until you win a Royal Flush to emerge ahead
Your bankroll comes from your own resources, or by collecting money from the intermediate hands that give you income along the way.

Need some Casino playing tips? Video Poker and Slots?
me and my mum went to st louis riverboat this past weekend..my first time in a casino ..we were only there for about 2 hrs ..i put $20 and came out $60 ahead..mom didnt win anything..but i was wondering if theres any tips or tricks on playing the machines in the casion..i won the money playing deuces wild poker machine and got a 5 of a kind..mom liked playing slots..i won $40 on one machine for slots but thats it..are u more likely to come out a winner on slots or video poker machines ? opinions? tips?
I have heard that machines near entrances are looser to draw people in. Set a limit of how much you can lose. Put some money away when you are ahead. You will eventually give all your winnings back if you play long enough so quit while you are ahead. I think you get better odds playing craps and blackjack. Play for fun and set limits, just like they say in the commercials.

Putting losing machines near the exit? why would they do that. If people can’t see someone winning they are less likely to play. As far as i heard playing near aisle ways and entrances is good because when people are walking by if they see pay offs they are more tempted to play. But truthfully your best bet is to play poker ( real not video or one of those caribean stud versions) Poker is the only game you do not play against the house. the house takes a general rake and you play for the other players money. Just remember the old saying the house always wins. It’s true. Other than poker, Blackjack and craps offer the best chances for overall winning.
