What is the difference between Omaha poker and Texas Holdem poker?

In texas holdem, you are delt two cards, then the 5 community cards (flop, turn, river). You make your best 5 card hand out of all these 7 cards.
In Omaha, you are delt 4 cards, and have the same community cards (5). The difference is that you make the best hand out of 2 of the cards in your hand and 3 of the community cards, this is a strict ratio.
Kinda confusing at the start, but play a few hands (for play money) and you’ll catch on in no time.

no difference. suckers are playing them both.
References :
In omaha, you are dealt 4 cards. You can only play two of these. Texas, you get two and play two.
References :
in Omaha you get 4 hole cards and you must use two of them. In holdem you don’t need to use your hole cards. Also, in Omaha, the low hand wins if there are 5 cards that are an 8 or lower.

Omaha everyone is dealt 4 hole cards. Then the community cards are dealt the same as in hold em. You make the best hand by using two of your hole cards ( no more or no less than two ) and three of the community cards.
In hold em everyone is dealt two hole cards. Then the five community cards. You may use both your whole cards or none of them to make the best 5 card hand.

It is the same community card game as hold em, but you get 4 cards instead of two and you have to use only two cards from your hand and 3 from the board. So if you have 4 hearts in your hand and there are 2 heats on the board, you still would need one more heat on the board to make your flush because you cant play all 4 hearts from your hand, you can only play 2.

Quite simply they are played the same except with Omaha you are dealt 4 cards and MUST play 2 of them with the board, whereas Holdem you are dealt 2 cards and don’t have play either if the board shows a straight/flush, etc and none of the players still in the hand have a card to make there hand better.
Either way it still comes down to the best 5 card hand wins.
However, if you are playing Omaha Hi/Lo then players can split the pot everytime, with the best Hi hand taking half and the best low hand (8 to A, with 5432A being the best low hand). If no low hand then the best hi hand takes the whole pot.
